AN ORPHAN from Overslade whose book could lead to a billion pound compensation breakthrough is now asking for help to pen his sequel.

Derek Linster's book, Hannah's Shame, is now being recognised across the world after he documented his 'hellish' experiences in adoption homes in Ireland.

The book caused a storm among other sufferers and with backing, the
former boxer is now hoping to get compensation for thousands of orphans like himself from the Irish Government.

Since the book has received mass recognition, he has been asked to write a sequel about his life after the 1960s.

Derek hopes the book, titled Destiny Unknown, will be out by the end of the year.

"It's a follow-up from Hannah's Shame and more about my life in England," he said.

"So I need to hear from people who touched my life from 1960 onwards."

During that time, Derek was heavily involved in the boxing scene in Rugby, was a member of the Trade Union movement in Warwickshire and was in the Territorial Army.

"What would be good is to get hold of pictures or anything writtten at the time," he added.

"People who read my first book have sent cards from all over, saying that they want to know more about my life."

Talking about the knock-on effect from his previous book, he added: "It is by no means over.

"I would say things are simmering at the moment and it seems like people are ducking and diving for cover, hoping for everything to blow over.

"But I will not let it go."
