We launched our 'Last Hope' campaign in last week's edition to help Colin Howe and Russ Jones afford the wonder drug Sutent.
And already, hundreds of pounds of donations from businesses and Rugby residents have flooded in.
Keep reading the Advertiser for updates on how the campaign progresses.
Proceeds raised will go towards helping Colin and Russ to afford the £3,500 a month drug which could prolong their lives.
Both men have no idea how long they have left to live and both have been refused free access to the drug by Warwickshire Primary Care Trust.
After reading Colin's story a Rugby-based dance group decided to perform a variety show to help raise funds for him.
Dancers from Jaide's Stage Studios will perform at the Benn Hall in Newbold Road on July 19 from 7.30pm.
Sandra Ellery, Administrator and Marketing Executive for Jaide's Stage Studios, said: "We had no hesitation in offering to put on a show to start off Colin's appeal.
"It will include variety with a difference. Our dancers will perform and we'll also have other specialist acts such as a gospel choir and a semi-professional baton troupe.
"James Berryman, formerly the lead singer of Rugby band Attica, has also agreed to perform a solo piece at the event.
"We will also be holding a raffle and hope that local businesses and the general public will donate prizes to raise the much-needed funding."
Anyone interested in donating a prize for the raffle or performing in the show should contact Sandra on (01788) 562729 or 07709723759.
All donations should be sent to Last Hope Appeal, Rugby Advertiser, 2 Albert Street, Rugby, Warwickshire, CV21 2RS. Cheques should be made payable to 'Rugby Advertiser Charity Event'.
