NOW entering their 16th year, an award-winning Pink Floyd tribute band are returning once again to perform in Rugby tomorrow (Friday).
This time not only will Dark Side of the Wall perform new material and feature a new saxophonist, but they will also be premiering a spectacular new light show that promises to see the Benn Hall’s concert room lit up like never before.
Steve Chilton, now the joint-longest serving member bass player, said: “We’ve enjoyed some really fantastic shows at the Benn Hall over the years so it’s a great pleasure to be returning there once again.
“However, we’re always acutely aware of the need to keep the show fresh, especially in our more regular venues, so for that reason we have chosen the Benn specifically to debut this brand new light show and we hope our regular Floydies will enjoy a rather different, and visually superb show this year.
“We’re also going to film the concert so we can take a look back at it ourselves afterwards as it’s impossible to gauge the full effect when you’re stood under it.”
The band’s new saxophonist Pete ‘Taz’ Morgan is also looking forward to making his Rugby debut with the band.
Steve said: “Taz originally played a few one-off gigs with us but has now become an important and fully-fledged member of the band. I’m sure his home crowd will give him a great reception - especially when they hear what he does with that saxophone of his.”
The Dark Side of the Wall gig starts at 8.30pm tomorrow at the Benn Hall.
