In our July 21 edition we printed a detailed old picture of the entrance to the Rugby Midland railway station, which seemed to go down well with Memory Lane readers and created quite a bit of interest.

Here’s a few more of the station which I’ve found in the archive.

I’m afraid none of them are dated, but the picture above is obviously much older than the one we featured before and the one below is much more recent, although well before the latest transformation.

The Austin MiniMetro car parked outside is a W registration, suggesting this was taken in 1980 or later.

The other picture of the platforms is captioned ‘Views from the station looking north, with the down main platform on the left and the locomotive in the bay on the right. The signal box in the centre has long since been demolished.’
