SCULPTURES, paintings and ceramics are among the works by Rugby artists in the town gallery’s latest exhibition.

Mixed Views, produced by the Rugby Artists’ Group, opened at the Floor One Gallery in Rugby this week.

A group of 24 members have produced artwork for the show, which includes a variety of works in different mediums.

Each artist can submit three pieces of work and there are around 60 pieces on show for visitors to explore.

Marion Reid, exhibitions secretary of the Rugby Artists’ Group, believes the show has something for all tastes.

She said: “We’ve got a wide variety of work coming in with a wide subject matter.

“Some of the artwork is figurative and some is abstract. We have all kinds of mediums.”

Rugby Artists’ Group, formally known as Rugby Artists’ Support Group, is for all local artists looking to meet together for encouragement, learning, activity, co-operative working and general fellowship.

This is the seventh annual exhibition for the group.

Marion, who is exhibiting three of her own paintings, said: “This lively and talented group of artists has been successfully exhibiting in Rugby for the last seven years.

Artists in the gallery will be happy to talk about the work on show and welcome new members to the group.

Mixed Views is taking place at Floor One Gallery at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum. It will run until Saturday, April 9.

The exhibition will be open during normal gallery opening hours.
