AMBASSADORS Of Morocco will be the headline act at a music night at a Rugby town centre club.
Rocketships Of Love will also perform at the night of music at Bar Verve in North Street tomorrow (Friday).
Following a year of sold-out shows for Ambassadors Of Morocco, support slots, Radio 6 and XFM demo exposure and the honing of original songs into a downloadable set, a single has finally been chosen, with mix engineer Dave Bascombe (Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode, Suede, Placebo and Goldfrapp) and at the controls.
Their combined loves incorporate new wave, indie, post-punk, dance and pop.
The Ambassadors import the very best of the 80s lean, edgy, angular, guitar-led pop sound and add 20 years of further musical progression and knowledge to create their own sound. Firm nods are made to the Cure, Wire, Depeche Mode and Pixies and caps doffed to Blur, Feeder, Smashing Pumpkins and even early U2.
Ambassadors Of Morocco will play from 11 to 11.40pm, following a performance from Rocketships Of Love who will be on stage from 10 to 10.30am.
Rocketships Of Love is the brainchild of Paul Le Keux from Uberfuzz. The band is a celebration of all things electronic and operating outside of normal gravity fields.
The Verve gig will start at 9.30pm and entry is free.
