Virginmarys out to prove themselves at Kasbah

THREE years of hard graft touring and recording have earned rockers The Virginmarys a slew of celebrity backers.

The group are coming to Coventry’s Kasbah on Saturday January 26, ahead of the release of their first album on February 4. The Virginmarys have built a fan base that include the likes of Slash (a regular VM’s T shirt wearer), We Are Scientists, Eagles Of Death Metal and Ash, all of whom have invited the band to support them and thousands of devoted fans across the globe.

In the process they have also featured on BBC Breakfast, scored an iTunes single of the week both in the UK and US, had a track featured on Rockband 3 and sold out London’s Garage at a canter as part of HMV’s Next Big Thing series of shows at the close of 2011.

In the media they’ve also received glowing reveiws from the likes of Kerrang, The Sun, Classic Rock magazine, who commented, “The Virginmarys have the drive of the Foo Fighters, the lyrical voice of the Arctic Monkeys, The Mary’s have justified the hype.”
