A MYTON Hospice appeal has reached its £30,000 fundraising target.

The BBC Coventry and Warwickshire Myton Nurse Appeal was launched on October 31 last year and individuals, groups, schools and businesses have all backed the campaign to help the charity.

The aim is to fund new nurses for the Myton Hospices which has three hospices in Rugby, Warwick and Coventry.

Myton’s chief rxecutive Kate Lee said: “We are delighted. One more nurse will make a big difference to us and the patients and families we look after. The appeal is going very well and it is not just about money – it has helped do something much more important which is let people know we are here and bring the local community together to support us.”

The appeal will run until October and there are lots of ways to get involved from holding events, to taking on a challenge and donating unwanted items to the charity’s 17 shops.
