POLICE have still not released any information about an armed seige which happened yesterday (Wednesday).

Residents were locked in their homes as police surrounded a house in Bucknill Crescent in Hillmorton at about 11.30am.

It's believed that officers were sent there as part of a 'planned operation to catch someone at large'.

Police are yet to confirm whether the man was been caught or not.

Yesterday, the road was closed off to traffic and residents were asked to wait across the road while the incident progressed.

Although many people have contacted us with information, we will update you about the incident when we get the official statement from the police.
