Bodies of crash victims identified

THE bodies have five people who died when two planes collided over Coombe Abbey have been officially identified.
The occupants of the CESSNA 402C have been confirmed as:

Harvey Antrobus, 28, from Fillongley, Warwickshire.

James Beagley, 34, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Sybille Gautrey, 33, from Towcester, Northamptonshire

Sophie Hastings, 28, from Swadlincote, Derbyshire

The pilot of the Rand KR-2 has been confirmed as:

Brian Normington from Leamington Spa.

Invetigations to determine the cause of Sunday's crash are continuing.

The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) have spent the past few days trawling through the crash site.

A spokesperson for the AAIB said: "Both aircraft were approaching to land at Coventry Airport at the time of the collision.

"The wreckage from both aircraft will be recovered to the AAIB's facility at Farnborough for more detailed examination.

"An AAIB field investigation is now underway and an accident report will be released in due course."
