A RUGBY community centre could be in danger of closing if money is not raised to help fund it.
A number of fundraisers are due to be held in aid of the Benn Partnership Centre in Railway Terrace, including a charity auction on Friday, November 27.
The centre is home to a number of community groups but is struggling financially.
Darren Wallace, fundraising project manager at the centre, said: “After January we could be in danger because of a lack of funding.
“We would have to close the centre if we couldn’t find the money, which is a shame.
“We need donations. That’s why we having the charity auction to get the funding we need to improve our services and provide more.”
The charity auction will take place at the Sikh SWA Hall in Craven Street on November 27 from 7 to 9pm. Entry is £2.50.
For tickets or to donate a prize to the auction call the centre on (01788) 553033 or email bpc enquiries@btconnect.com.
