Work by some of Rugby’s most promising young artists goes on show next week at an exhibition showcasing a remarkably varied collection.
Three groups of students at Warwickshire College’s Rugby centre have created works in a range of media, including photography, ceramics, fine art, textiles and 3D design.
Dozens of artworks are featured across two rooms at the college. As well as a variety of styles, visitors can expect to find a mixture of themes explored, including politics and consumerism.
They will be displayed from Tuesday until Thursday June 27 – and personal learning advisor Fiona Saul believes there is plenty to please or provoke even the most discerning visitor.
She said: “It’s a great exhibition – I’m very impressed.
“All the artists have come up with different ideas and expressed them very well.
“The students have worked hard this year and are very excited about their work being on show to the public. The standard is excellent – maybe even better than last year.”
The works are by students on three courses – ABC Diploma Foundation, Edexcel Level 3 Extended Diploma and BTEC Level 2.
The exhibition is free and will be held in two rooms on the third floor of the college, which is in Technology Drive.
It’s open from 10am to 4pm, with a special evening viewing on Tuesday 25 from 6pm to 8pm.
