A ‘neighbourhood watch’ scheme for Warwickshire canals

Canal Watch launch: PC Rob DAVIES of Warwickshire Police with Reg Smith And and Peter Bailey of Mid-Warwickshire Neighbourhood Watch.

Warwickshire Police, Mid-Warwickshire Neighbourhood Watch, the Canal & River Trust and Warwickshire County Council Community Safety Team have launched Canal Watch.

The scheme works like a neighbourhood watch scheme for canals and towpaths in the county.

Members will be vigilant to thefts from canal barges, burglaries at houses backing on to canals and other issues.
