RADIO DJ and author Jason Moss has been reading his new book to youngsters in Brownsover as part of National Book Week.

Jason, who resides over Rugby FM’s breakfast show, was reading his book Smell and Bogey and the Magic Carpet to children at Brownsover community first school. The book follows the adventures of Smell and Bogey and a mystical carpet, which turns to live anything that touches it.

Headteacher Elisa Basnett said the experience was a treat for the children.

She said: “Reading is always a key priority for our school, and adults sharing stories with children is very important. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate the value of storytelling.”

“Jason’s story was engaging and enjoyable for all of our children. Reading and storytelling is always a key priority for our school, and it was a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience a real author sharing his story.”
