LEADING industry charity the Estate Agency Foundation is calling for all agents to down tools to raise money to help eliminate homelessness.
People in the estate agency industry are urged to join forces and help this worthwhile cause from Monday, May 23 to Sunday, May 29.
Barnaby Scarff, manager of local estate agents Newman, said: “In the UK over 7.7 million homes fail to meet the Government’s Decent Homes Standard, and over 90,000 homeless children in England are living in temporary accommodation.
“As an industry we must play our part and raise money to eliminate the causes of homelessness.”
He added: “The great Estate Agency Foundation Coffee Week is a way of bringing the industry together to raise money as well as boosting the profile of estate agents within the local community.
“All the money raised will be donated directly to our chosen charities ensuring that 100 per cent of the donations will directly benefit good causes.”
Newmans is holding a coffee morning to help the charity on Thursday, May 26, between 10am and 12noon.
Everyone is welcome to pop into the office and join them for a mug or two.
