CHILDREN at St Matthew’s Bloxam Primary School have been getting outdoors to play and learn.
They have learned about wildlife and creating things from natural materials thanks to a Rugby Group Benevolent Fund grant of £27,000, which has enabled the school to build a new play area for its nursery pupils.
It even features planters where pupils grow vegetables which they use to make soup in lessons.
Headteacher Sukie Owers said “They always have choices where to spend break times and they always want to be out here. The older children like the look of it and look forward to when they get their turn to use it.”
