Appeal for information after man attacked and robbed in Rugby

Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked and robbed in Rugby.

The robbery happened at around 2pm last Saturday, when the victim, who is a man in his 20s, was walking along an alleyway from Wentworth Road towards Firs Drive.

Two men approached him and one of them pinned the victim to a fence and pulled out a craft style knife.

During a struggle, the victim sustained a small cut to his arm.

The second offender hit the victim on his head with a piece of wood, which made him fall to the ground.

As well as this one of the offenders also burnt the victim’s face with a cigarette.

During the attack, the victim’s wallet containing £200 was stolen. T

The victim was treated at hospital and released.

The first offender has been described as white, in his early 30s, about 6ft tall, of stocky build and was wearing a woollen hat.

He also had a tattoo under his eye.

The second offender was described as white, also in his early 30s, about 5ft 10ins tall, large build, wearing a blue hooded top with white stripes and sand coloured boots.

Both men were also described as having Eastern European accents.

Police are appealing for any information about the robbery.
