Police are calling for anyone who witnessed a fatal collision on the M6 southbound yesterday (Wednesday) to come forward.

The collision happened shortly before 1pm between junction one for Rugby and the Catthorpe interchange, causing all three lanes to be closed for several hours.

It involved a silver Vauxhall Zafira, a white Renault Trafic and a green Kawasaki motorcycle.

A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said: “The motorcyclist, a man in his thirties, was attended to at the scene by West Midlands Ambulance Service and taken by ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire where he subsequently died.

“Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision.”
