Talented dance students from Avon Valley School are putting on a dazzling show tonight that’s not to be missed.
Avon Valley will live up to its performing arts college status when the doors are opened for the latest performance, a show called ‘Dance Reloaded’.
The show takes place tonight (Thursday) and will star over 100 students from all year groups.
Performances will include everything from contemporary dance and Bollywood to street dance and ballet. Organisers of the show are hoping for an appreciate audience tonight (Thursday).
Emma Forrest, subject leader for dance, said: “Every student in the school had the opportunity to audition for the show.
“Those who will be performing have worked really hard in rehearsals over the last few months, and should be really proud of themselves.”
Alison Davies, headteacher, said: “This is a great opportunity for our students to apply what they have learned in the dance studio in front of a real audience.
“I know the students have been practising and I am really looking forward to seeing them perform.”
In the build-up to the show students and staff have been working hard choreographing routines and learning new dances so that they are ready to impress the audience with their moves.
Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions and can be purchased from Kerry Horsman-Gray, performing arts administrator by calling (01788) 542355.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards AVS Project Africa.
On the night doors will open at 6.15pm, the show will begin at 7pm.
