Great British Bake Off star Howard Middleton is to appear at this year’s Rugby Food and Drink Festival.
He will join other local chefs in whipping up a selection of tasty treats at the Pop-Up Kitchen in St Andrew’s Church this Saturday, October 1.
The friendly celebrity will be making three dishes from his new book ‘Delicious Gluten-Free Baking’ and is inviting people to come along and sample some of his creations.
The pop-up kitchen is set to host a variety of lively, informative and colourful demonstrations from 10.30am to 5pm on Saturday and will be a great place to pick up some cookery tips and try some food.
There will also be more than 30 food stalls surrounding the church offering up a tasty selection of high quality food and drink from local businesses, farms and producers.
Little chefs can also visit the kid’s kitchen where they can make pasta jewellery, try vegetable printing and get their face painted.
Aftab Gaffar, Managing Director of Rugby First, said: “We are delighted to welcome Howard to the Rugby Food and Drink Festival.
“Each year the festival continues to grow and develop and Howard, along with the other chefs, are a key part of this. I can’t wait to try some of the food from the kitchen and the stalls on the day.”
This year’s food and drink festival takes place from Thursday, September 29 to Sunday, October 2 in and around St Andrew’s Church.
