Baseball bat attack in Rugby

A MAN’S jaw was broken in three places after he was hit with a baseball bat on Sunday morning, police have said.

They are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened in Charlesfeild Road in the early hours of Sunday April 3. The 26-year-old sustained a badly broken jaw and was taken to the University Hospital in Coventry for treatment.

According to police his injuries were sustained as a result of a large number of people reportedly fighting in the road. Some of those involved are reported to have got into a dark coloured car, possibly a Ford Fiesta or a Ford Focus.
