A best-selling author will join blog stars at a launch event for parents in Rugby.

The Parent Pause founder Natalie Bullard will be joined by Sarah Turner (The Unmumsy Mum) and new dad, author and online star Matt Coyne for the first Parent Pause at the Benn Hall on Wednesday, April 12, at 6.30pm.

The Parent Pause is a website, blog and events service for parents in Rugby and the surrounding areas. It embraces all things parenthood, but encourages mums and dads to take care of themselves too.

By hosting and organising events that enrich, support and connect like-minded people, they hope to support and build on the strong local parent culture.

They also have a website and a blog which features useful information, honest reviews and guest blog posts.

Natalie, who has three children, said: “The Parent Pause was born out of frustration at being unable to connect with like-minded parents in my local area, for more than just baby talk.

“I loved our baby groups and have taken all my children to them, but I yearned to expand conversation and stimulate my mind too. After having my third child, I found myself learning more about the ‘hip’ mum events in big cities like London and Manchester, and wishing we had something similar. These events are aimed at enriching, empowering and elevating parents by bringing them together to hear inspiring speakers, take part in workshops, interesting talks and stories (child and non-child related), and to generally connect with each other in real-life-full-colour human reality!”

Proceeds from the event will go to Trekstock, a charity that supports young people through cancer.

Natalie added: “I am so excited to welcome the panellists to Rugby and so happy to be able to offer something different to local parents.”

Tickets are £15 and include light refreshments. Visit www.theparentpause.co.uk
