Hundreds of visitors are expected to descend on a tiny village – population 40 – for the Winwick Country Church Fete and Fun Dog Show.

The event takes place on Sunday September 1, and attractions include a vintage toy steam train, a 1928 Rolls Royce and the chance to win a trip in a superb 1914 Vauxhall. In addition to the 50 stalls, guests will also be able to visit an art exhibition in the church, watch duck races in the brook and take tea whilst Lutterworth Band plays in front of The Manor. Dogs are cordially invited to bring their owners along to the Fun Dog Show, and with classes including waggiest tail and most appealing eyes. The event starts at 2pm and there will be free parking.

See winwick.eu/2.html for more details. Winwick can be found north of West Haddon in Northamptonshire.
