CHILDREN can improve their cycling skills during a half-term Bikeability course.
Bikeability courses are being offered during October half-term when Warwickshire County Council’s Road Safety team will be giving cyclists an opportunity to improve their cycling skills and on-road training.
Courses for the Rugby area will take place at the Warwickshire College, Rugby with Bikeability Level One training for young/new cyclists aged seven to nine on Monday, October 24 from 9.15am to 12.15pm. Cost is £15 per cyclist.
On-road Level Two, which includes an assessment, for those aged 9 years and over (in Year Five or above), will take place Tuesday and Wednesday 25 and 26 October from 9.15am to 12.15pm and costs £25 per cyclist.
Whilst more experienced cyclists aged 11 and over who have successfully completed Level 2 can take advantage of the more advanced Level 3 training on Wednesday 26 October from 1.00 – 3.00 at £15 per cyclist. Pupils successfully completing the course will receive a certificate.
