A BILTON pub has raised £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Robert Gooch.

Dozens of people packed into the Black Horse in Bilton for the Full Monty Night earlier this month.

The £1,000 raised during the evening will all be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of much-loved Rugby man Robert Gooch.

Robert died within a week of being diagnosed with cancer in January this year.

Black Horse manager Liz Friel said: “We had a brilliant night and everyone had a fantastic time.”

Liz thanked everyone who helped on the night and provided raffle prizes and auction lots.

She also thanked the locals who bravely took part in the full monty - Jimmy Friel, Andy Tillson, Lee Shepherd, Paul Tacey and Graham Bloomfield.
