Children from Bilton Infant School have twinned their first toilet.
They have been learning how 2.5 billion people in the world do not have safe, clean and hygienic use of toilets.
Instead of spending their pennies, pupils and their families brought their change into school and donated it to the toilet twinning project.
The children understand how tough it would be without facilities.
“It would be very difficult without a toilet,” said one of Bilton’s pupils called Holly from year 2. I hope the new toilet will help keep everyone healthy and happy.”
Pupils from the school’s Eco team chose to twin one of their toilets with a toilet in Zambia, to help people there protect themselves from diseases due to poor sanitation.
