Police are appealing for information after a 12-year-old boy was threatened in Rugby.

The incident happened on Thursday 27 November between 3.45pm and 4pm on the footpath behind Tesco on Leicester Road.

The victim was walking home from school when he was approached by a group of 16 to 17-year-old males, who were wearing hooded tracksuits.

They then threatened to harm him if he didn’t steal an item from Tesco. The store’s staff were later alerted of the incident and nobody was injured.

The victim was left very scared and shaken and police are eager to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
