A LITTLE boy from Rugby who is fighting leukaemia was given VIP treatment when he officially launched Christmas at a garden centre.

Lewis Clarke, three, was chosen to declare Blooms Winter Wonderland officially open by cutting a ceremonial ribbon on Saturday.

Carole Berry, manager of the Bourton garden centre, said: “Lewis was nominated by his parents’ best friend Lisa Rudman for being very brave despite being diagnosed with a life-threatening condition last November.”

Lewis also received a free pass for four people to the Winter Wonderland and four free passes to see Father Christmas in his grotto.
