BREAKING NEWS: Warwickshire Police investigating attempted school child abduction in Dunchurch

PARENTS in Rugby are being warned to be extra vigilant after a Dunchurch pupil was approached by a stranger.

At around 3.30pm yesterday (Wednesday) in School Street, Dunchurch, a pupil from Dunchurch Boughton Junior School was approached by a man in his 30s who was wearing a black hoody. The man told the child his mum had asked him to collect him from school.

A spokesman from Dunchurch Infant and Nursery School in School Street said: “The child did the right thing and ran away to safety and the police have been informed and are investigating.

“In light of this, please be extra vigilant and if you see anything suspicious, please contact the school office immediately.”
