The winners of a photo competition designed to capture the character of town have received their prizes at a special event.
Brethertons Solicitors asked amateur snappers to send in shots of the town to compete for a place on the walls of its new office, Montague House, in Clifton Road.
First place winner Stephen Lister is pictured above with Brethertons senior partner Richard Pell.
Stephen’s photo of the sign outside St Andrew’s Church was the judging panels favourite shot.
The 12 ‘highly commended’ photographs were printed on canvas in time for the party and now adorn the walls of Montague House.
After collecting his prize, second place winner Mark Haycox said: “I would like to thank the senior partners for acknowledging my efforts and for rewarding me with the £100 gift voucher which is going towards a new lens for my camera.”
Richard Pell said: “There were so many great shots that represent our vibrant town and the people who live in it.
“It was really tough choosing the winners but we managed to whittle it down to just 12 that we felt really ‘got’ the brief.”
Special guest Martin Bayfield, ex-England rugby international, opened the company’s new office last week.
