A Rugby bus stop has been reactivated to help with the increased number of people visiting community and medical centres.
Since the regeneration of the Market Quarter there has been a great increase in members of the public needing access to the Benn Partnership Centre, Beech Tree Medical Practice and Drovers House Care Home. Routes 10 and 12 will now be re-routed via Railway Terrace where the most convenient stop to provide easier access to these centres for members of the public is located on Craven Road.
Richard Hands, Rugby operations manager for Stagecoach, said: “We are delighted to have been able to assist the Benn Partnership and the many people who travel there by diverting our services 10 and 12 via the site.
“The routes provide a regular half hourly service from Central Park , Warwickshire College and Rugby Town Centre , as well as hourly links from Hillmorton, DIRFT, Kilsby and Barby and Rokeby Estate , Hillside Estate and Dunchurch.”
“Rebekka Clarkson, centre manager at Benn Partnership Centre said: “It is fantastic that one of our trustees – Keith Ranu has been able to help find a way to benefit our local community.”
