Have your say

If you run an outlet in the town centre, here’s your chance to shout about it – and maybe win an award too.

The Rugby Business Excellence Awards take place on Friday June 7 at the Dunchurch Park Hotel.

And you and your colleagues could be on stage receiving one of the biggest accolades on the night – the Town Centre Outlet of the Year award.

The category is open to any shop, restaurant, bar or takeaway in the town centre. There are two ways to enter this category: nomination by the public, or self-entry. For self-entry, the judges are looking for the following:

1) Evidence of excellence in customer service

2) Details of how you train your staff

3) A description of the layout of your shop, restaurant, bar or takeaway

4) How you promote and market your outlet.

They also want to know, in 40 to 50 words, why you think you should win the award.

You can register online at www2.rugbyreviewtoday.co.uk/advertiserRBEA2013 or post your entry to Ginny Hunter, Rugby Business Excellence Awards 2013, Rugby Advertiser, 2 Albert Street, Rugby CV21 2RS. The deadline is Friday May 3.

The category is sponsored by town centre management company Rugby First and the Clock Towers shopping centre. Centre manager Tony Spencer said: “The awards give us the opportunity to showcase the best in Rugby town centre and highlights the hard work staff and our retail partners do in serving the community as a whole with customer service, and a variety of products and services available all within the town centre of Rugby.

“We have a vibrant, busy shopping centre with many retailers who continually achieve high standards nationally and locally.

“We wish every success to all the retailers, businesses and services and thank the Rugby community for their support of our local town centre.”

Tickets are available for the ceremony for £40 plus VAT. Please reserve your places soon as space is limited this year. For an information pack, call (01788) 539999.
