Buzz at young photographer exhibition

There was a real buzz at the launch of the second Rotary Young Photographer exhibition on Saturday.

Rugby Mayor Sally Bragg opened the event, which is supported by the three Rotary clubs of Rugby.

Organisers said there was an excellent turn out at St Andrew’s Church, including the presidents of the three Rotary clubs along with students, parents and family members.

Cllr Bragg presented the winners with their certificates and prize money. There was an excellent turnout including the presidents of the three Rotary clubs along with students, parents and family members.

Following the presentations there was tea, coffee and cake made and served by pupils from Brooke School in Rugby.

Assistant governor Terri Morgan, from the Rotary Club of Rugby Saturday Breakfast and organiser of the competition and exhibition said: “It was very rewarding to meet the students and families.

“I only wish I had more room to display all 84 exceptional photographs.”

Terri added: “There was a great buzz and I am hoping to encourage even more entries for the next competition to be launched later this year.”

The exhibition is open every day in the church open from 10am to 2pm and closes on Sunday, February 26.
