Caldecott Park in Rugby is still one of the best in the country.
Today (Tuesday) Caldecott Park receives the Green Flag Award, a sign to visitors that the park is well-maintained and well-managed, with excellent facilities.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Caldecott Park has received the award, since its refurbishment in 2008.
Cllr Dr Mark Williams, Rugby Borough Council portfolio holder for sustainable environment, said: “The weather has made it very difficult for us to maintain our exceptionally high standards of planting and put together activities that bring people to the park, so although this is our fourth Green Flag, this has to be the most satisfying to receive.
“Despite everything the weather has thrown at us we’ve had an exceptional year at the park, with more schools and organised visits and more community groups and organisations getting involved.
“Our volunteers bring a huge amount to the park, and they must take some of the credit for this award.”
