Can you help get an ice cream man to this part of Rugby?

Two enterprising nine year olds decided it was time for action before they had to spend another summer with the ice cream van not coming down their road.

Jayme-Leigh Proffitt-Carter and Libby McPhillips, pictured, are next door neighbours in Steele Street and started by tackling Rugby Borough Council.

Jayme-Leigh’s mum Naomi Proffitt said: “Our girls wrote a letter to the council asking why the ice cream man drives past our street and a nice man at the council replied saying they have no control over the ice cream man and sent them a packet of sweets which is lovely but we are still unable to find the ice cream man.

“We would love for them to be able to have an ice cream in the hotter weather so we are mums on a mission. I don’t suppose any Advertiser readers know who the local ice cream man is?”
