Car crash on the A361 near Kilsby leaves Rugby man in a critical condition in hospital

A RUGBY man is in a critical condition in hospital following a car crash.

The accident took place at around 4.50pm on Saturday on the A361 north of Ashby St Ledgers, near Kilsby, when a green Ford Focus was in collision with a black Range Rover.

A 19-year-old Coventry woman, who was a passenger in the Focus, died at the scene.

The 24-year-old man, from Rugby, who was driving the Focus was airlifted to University Hospital in Coventry where he remains in a critical condition.

The 64-year-old man driving the Range Rover was taken to Northampton General Hospital but was later released

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision.
