A woman has been seriously injured in a crash that left her car overturned in a ditch in Ryton-on-Dunsmore.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Oxford Road shortly before cars w on Saturday.
Two ambulances and a paramedic area support officer were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival at the scene, crews found two cars that had been involved in a collision. One of the vehicles had left the road and was upside down in a ditch.
“The driver of the overturned car was found to be trapped in the vehicle. Ambulance crews worked closely with the fire service to extricate the woman from the car safely.
“Once freed the woman was treated for serious leg and chest injuries before being conveyed to the major trauma centre at University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire.
“The driver of the second car, a man, was assessed at the scene but was found to be uninjured.”
There is no information regarding the condition of the woman.
