Young dancers from Rugby have helped those less fortunate than themselves by contributing to Rugby Foodbank.

The youngsters, from the McHale Academy of Irish Dancing (pictured), have given selection boxes to the charity.

School principal Declan McHale said: “I am proud of the dancers for deciding on this collection. We encourage considerate and respectful behaviour within the academy as well as excellence in dancing so I’m glad the children have taken that on board”.

The dancers, aged between four and 13, managed to gather 29 boxes and delivered them after their class Christmas party.

McHale Academy is run by four-time world champion Declan McHale.

It has been established only recently but already he has dancers competing in qualifying heats for the Dance World Championships.
