Youngsters will have the chance to learn about their environment at a Bug Hunt in Hillmorton this month.

Youngsters in Hillmorton will have the opportunity to get out in the fresh air and learn about nature next weekend.

A Bug Hunt event has been organised by members of the Hillmorton Vale Residents Association and promises to get kids excited about the environment.

It was a big hit last summer and organisers are hoping a repeated success this year will lead to the Bug Hunt becoming an annual village event.

The event takes place on Sunday, September 18 and costs £2.50 per child. For this price they will have access to most of the activities throughout the afternoon.

These include the chance to take part in snail racing, build a bug hotel, play bug bingo and join in with a tree identification quest.

Face painting and temporary tattoos will also be available on the day at an additional cost.

The Bug Hunt runs from 11am to 2pm at the play area and wildlife habitat at the bottom of Strath Close in Hillmorton.
