THERE was a chance for
youngsters to stand out from the crowd last week with free face-
painting on offer from High Street’s Acorns shop.

The week-long activity was such a hit with children on their summer holidays that it will be taking place again on the week starting Monday August 13. In return parents and guardians were asked for a small donation to Acorns to help pay for childcare at the charity’s children’s hospices, where it costs £750 per day for each child’s care.

The store also urgently needs donations of clothes and goods, as it relies on them for the majority of its income, to provide round-the-clock care for children and families. To find out more visit acorns.org.uk
