CROWDS gathered for the annual Walk of Witness for Good Friday this morning.

It was held by The REVIVE group of churches who met at Jubilee Gardens.

Christians from churches across the Rugby area were welcomed by music and singing led by Jonny Shepherd, before the REVIVE Convenor Michael Bochenski launched the march with prayers and a short message.

He said: “Good Friday is the most sacred day of the year for Christians because 2,000 years ago Jesus Christ sacrificied his life for us.

“I was expecting a good turn out but the weather has been very cold!”
