DUNCHURCH pupils will be putting a smile on 126 children’s faces this Christmas.

Year Three pupils at Dunchurch Boughton Junior School have been busy taking part Christmas shoebox appeal and have collected a total of 126.

They have each filled a shoebox with lots of Christmas goodies and toys which will be distributed to children in need across the world.

Year Three teacher Suzanne Hayward said: “They have absolutely loved doing it.

“I had them piled up outside my door so they could see them growing.

“I set them a target of 120 and we’ve got 126 so they’ve done really well.”

As a reward for collecting more than 120, the youngsters will enjoy a non-uniform day tomorrow (Friday) during which they can wear red to mark Remembrance Day.
