Conservatives hold Warwickshire but lose seats - including that of its leader

The Conservatives remain the majority party in Warwickshire County Council but have lost overall control, and the seat of council leader Alan Farnell.

In Rugby the Conservatives lost four seats which were in Dunchurch, Brownsover and Lawford and New Bilton. Three were Labour gains and one seat, Dunchurch, was gained by Independent Howard Roberts. The other divisions remain unchanged.

Liberal Democrats - 9 seats

Green - 2 seats
