THE leader of Rugby Borough Council has been fined £200 and been given six points on his licence after pleading guilty to driving without insurance earlier this year.

At Coventry Magistrates Court on August 23 Conservative leader Cllr Craig Humphrey was fined £200 with £15 victim surcharge and £80 costs. Six points were put on his license. He was caught on March 17 this year on the A46 London Road in Coventry. Cllr Humphrey was unavailable for comment this week but released a statement earlier this year explaining that a change of address led to his insurance company sending a notification to a wrong address.
