Rugby Borough Council is applying for an order in court tomorrow (Thursday) to move the travellers.

A man who lives near the site, who didn’t want to be named, said: “I am sick of the noise and the mess. Something needs to be done.”

A spokesman for Rugby Borough Council said: “There is a complex legal process we have to follow in order to move the illegal encampment on.

“This was initiated over the weekend of August 30/ September 1.

“We have been given a court date of 12 September at Nuneaton County Court, when we will apply for a possession order.

“If granted, we will enforce the order at the earliest opportunity.”
