There was major traffic congestion on the M6 yesterday (Thursday) following a collision on the southbound carriageway on the Warwickshire border.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the motorway near Cathorpe Interchange at 2.35pm today. An incident officer and two ambulance crews from West Midlands Ambulance Service attended. The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance also attended as well as an ambulance crew from East Midland Ambulance Service.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find two heavy goods vehicles and a light van which had been involved in a collision. The light van was on its side.
“One man with minor injuries was taken to Northampton General Hospital by West Midlands Ambulance Service. A second man, again with minor injuries, was being cared for by the East Midlands Ambulance Service crew. A third man was assessed and discharged at the scene.”
