Fire crews had to use specialist cutting equipment to free a person trapped in their car after a collision this morning.
The incident involved one car with one casualty who was trapped in the car as a result of the injuries they had sustained.
Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service received a 999 call to a report of a road traffic collision on the Newbold Road in Rugby at 8.17am this morning.
One appliance from Rugby and one from Lutterworth attended the incident.
Fire crews used specialist cutting equipment to gain access to the casualty.
Crews, police and ambulance service are still at the scene and expect to be detained a further hour.
