TRADITIONAL village feast celebrations made a comeback after an absence of 100 years.

The Crick Village Feast, organised by the parish council and history society, featured a gala night, tree planting, flower displays, village market, classic vehicle display and chances for children to experience a Victorian classroom, and find out more about the village’s mythical treacle mines.

The main event of the weekend was the judging of the Crick feast puddings – special cakes made to a traditional bread pudding recipe. One of the organisers Jim Goodger said: “It was a good weekend and everyone enjoyed themselves.”
