A number of burglaries in Rugby during the last few weeks

A NUMBER of homes have been targeted by thieves over the last couple of weeks.

On September 7, between 6.30 and 9pm, thieves broke into a house in Benn Street, Rugby via an insecure rear conservatory door.

Once inside the house the offenders searched the bedrooms and stole three watches, an assortment of cuff links and a wooden jewellery box containing various items of jewellery.

On September 8 between 8.30 and 9.20am thieves climbed through an open kitchen window at a home in Keswick Close, Brownsover, and stole a Nintendo DS, a laptop and TV.

On the same day, between 7 and 9.30pm, a home in Hillmorton Road was broken into. Thieves forced open a patio door to a conservatory and stolen several items from the house.

At some point during the night of September 9 and into September 10 thieves smashed glass in the front door of a home in Clarence Road, Rugby and then reached through to undo a lock on the inside of the door.

However, the offenders could not open another lock on the door and failed to get into the house. Nothing was stolen.

On September 16, sometime before 4.30pm, thieves entered a home in Thomson Close, Brownsover after smashing a rear, double glazed patio door. Several items were stolen.
