TWO men arrested in connection with a stabbing in Rugby on Saturday morning have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The men, aged 20 and 21, were arrested following the discovery of a 26-year-old male who had serious stab wounds to his arm.

He was found lying in Newbold Road just after 6am on Saturday.

The injured man was taken to the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire where he has undergone surgery.

Police investigating the stabbing would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or has any information which would help them with their enquiries.
